Metallurgy Technician: Impala Platinum -Mimosa Division January 2010- December 2012
1. Carryout mineralogy and Met Lab test works (crushing, milling, flotation, thickening and clarification).
2. Laboratory analyses of grades by fire assay (cupellation), Inductively Coupled Plasma Optical Emission Spectrometry and X-Ray Florescence.
3. Process audits to evaluate equipment performance against design/target requirements this will culminate in updating of PFDs and PIDs and subsequent action plan to address places or equipment identified as bottlenecks.
4. Writing technical reports for process audits, closure reports for process trials and trouble-shooting test-works and motivation reports for new projects or trials.
5. Budgeting for process consumables and control through accounting, controlling and reviewing material usages.
