    Carat South Africa has been awarded the media buying for Woolworths.

    Carat has been awarded the media buying for Woolworths from 1 July 2009.
    Carat has also been tasked to manage the digital media for the brand through Isobar, an Aegis group agency.

    Charmaine Huet, marketing director of Woolworths says "Carat brings a wealth of experience and expertise in traditional media, and we are looking forward to having them on our team. We are also looking forward to working closely with Isobar on developing a strong digital media presence for our brand."

    The strategy and planning remains with The Jupiter Drawing Room.
    The account joins an impressive list of new business acquired by Carat in the past few months including The Democratic Alliance Election Campaign and Johnson and Johnson.
    Carat (formerly Media Co-ordination) is part of the Aegis Group.
