Zimbabwe uses internet to boost tourism
A partnership between two government ministries in Zimbabwe will attempt to market the Southern African nation as an attractive tourist destination, using the internet as medium.
The Ministry of Information, Technology and Communication, in conjunction with the Ministry of Tourism and Hospitality, aim to elevate Zimbabwe's status to a favorite destination for tourists travelling to the region.
Says Information, Technology and Communication Minister, Nelson Chamisa: “The challenges facing the ICT sector were negatively affecting online marketing of the country's tourist destinations. We have the Internet but it is slow when other countries have advanced on communication technologies."
