Harare is the worst place to live

The British-based Economist Intelligence Unit has rated Harare as the worst of 140 cities in which to live according to an article published on News24. Harare suffers from daily power outages, has a shortage of water and scored just 38% on the "liveability" scale.

The intelligence unit says that the threat of civil unrest and the poor public health care and public transport system made the city "intolerable". The annual survey of cities seeks to advise companies on the level of hardship their employees might have to endure it they travel to those cities.

News24 reports that quality housing is available to the wealthy and that private education remained good but was also very expensive.

The most liveable city in the world is Melbourne, which has consistently been in the Top Ten but has now replaced Vancouver as the top city in which to live.
