    Visa International back in Zim

Standard Chartered Bank (Zimbabwe), the primary agent for Visa in Zimbabwe, announced the return of Visa this week, noting that it had started issuing bank customers with the cards on request.

“With the Standard Chartered Bank Visa International Gold Card you do not need to carry cash. You can use your card locally and internationally at all outlets displaying the Visa logo,” the bank said, indicating to customers that the cards could also be used abroad to withdraw cash on ATMs displaying the Visa sign.

MBCA Bank, a member of South Africa's Nedbank Group, said it had collaborated with Travelex to capitalise off Visa's return to the Zimbabwean market by introducing the Travelex Cash Passport, an international US dollar-denominated, pre-loaded card supported by Visa.

“The Travelex Cash Passport delivers into your hands security and convenience and grants you access to a worldwide network of Visa-branded ATMs and point of sale (POS) facilities numbering not less that 1 000 000,” said MBCA.
It said one did not have to be an MBCA account holder to apply for this card.

International travellers to Zimbabwe can also no longer carry piles of cash as they have complimentary ATMs and POS.
