    Broadcasting disease

S.African radio and TV has a disease.

The disease that many South African radio and TV stations are suffering from is called DISTORTION. No-one seems to know that it exists because nothing is being done about it and it is one of the reasons for people changing staions or tuning out all together. Audio has either a positive or negative effect on the human being, and DISTORTION is a scurvy that needs attention....and quickly. New, young sound engineers seem to want to use all the audio processing equipment available and cram the audio that we hear into this equipment/software, resulting in horrible sounding advertising. Please can all advertisers demand that spots be delivered to the various radio/TV stations "un-processed" and then the individual stations can decide if and how to process the audio according to their transmission needs. This way we don't all have to be forced
to play crap on our stations. It's all very well having HD TV but if the audio is this bad, then it's all a waste of time. Hellllp !!!!
