Our client is seeking a driven and enthusiastic individual to join their team as a service cadet in their service department, based in East Rand, Gauteng. This role is part of a learnership, designed to provide young individuals with practical experience and mentorship while learning the ins and outs of the automotive service industry.

About the role: As a service cadet, you will be exposed to a variety of tasks related to the service advisor job function. You will work closely with experienced professionals to assist in the day-to-day operations of their service department. This hands-on experience will allow you to build a strong foundation in customer service, vehicle maintenance, and the administrative aspects of service management.

Key responsibilities:

• Assist service advisors with customer inquiries and service-related tasks
• Gain knowledge of service department operations and the role of a service advisor
• Provide administrative support, including scheduling appointments and maintaining customer records
• Observe and participate in vehicle inspection processes, learning about diagnostics and repairs
• Develop a strong understanding of automotive systems and vehicle maintenance

Key requirements:

• A valid driver’s licence (essential)
• Strong verbal communication skills with the ability to engage customers and team members professionally
• Basic knowledge of cars and automotive systems
• A keen interest in developing your career in the automotive service field
• A positive attitude, strong work ethic, and eagerness to learn
• Ability to work well both independently and as part of a team

Salary: Monthly stipend of R5,500
