Warehouse Supervisor
Our client in the hardware / buildware industry is seeking a supply chain controller to join their warehouse team in East London.
Requirements:- Previous experience in the hardware/buildware industry (non-negotiable)
- Proven experience as a supply chain controller/stock controller or warehouse supervisor
- Contactable references
- Clear criminal record
Responsibilities:- Ensure stock accuracy through regular stock takes
- Investigate and resolve stock problems or inaccuracies
- Adjust stock levels where necessary to correct inaccuracies
- Assist with homeware stock requests from other branches
- Ensure stock areas are labelled, packed, and accessible
- Change stock pricing as required
- Control damaged store stock
- Check store dispatches and ensure correct documentation is sent and signed for
- Oversee all administrative processes (IBT/GRV)
- Route deliveries if needed
- Oversee warehouse staff
- Maintain optimal stock levels
- Ensure stock availability when required
- Optimise the logistical supply chain to minimise delivery periods, costs, and unplanned purchases
- Ensure adherence to SOPs and maintain a controlled environment
- Monitor and manage FIFO on raw materials and ageing stock
- Advise on foreseeable shortages to ensure timely stock replenishment
- Ensure all documentation is signed, stamped, and filed correctly
Salary: R10,000 - R12,000
