Support Kaya Cares on-air fundraiser in aid of children and communities at risk of fires this winter

This winter as many of us wrap up in warm jackets and blankets to keep the cold away, take a moment to remember the thousands of underprivileged children and communities who are at risk of losing their homes and sometimes their lives in shack fires.

Kaya FM is calling on companies and advertisers to lend a helping hand towards buying fire prevention equipment and donations to the NGO, Children of Fire.

This winter, Kaya Cares is raising funds in the following ways: by advertising with Kaya FM during the winter campaign Kaya FM will donate a percentage of the advertising revenue towards Children of Fire.

Kaya FM listeners can also lend a helping hand - by dialing *120*338865# and making a R50 donation you will help us make a difference in the children’s lives. And just by giving a little, Kaya FM will make your winter a whole lot better.

Your donation could land you a seat, next to your presenters, at the Kaya FM Movie Nights showing at the Prestige Cinema at Ster-Kinekor. This Winter can be a whole lot better for everyone.

About Children of Fire

The Children of Fire Trust was established in 1996 after founder and current director, Bronwen Jones, realised there was a desperate need for an organisation that could assist young South African burn survivors.

Realising that the socio-economic challenges of South Africa contribute greatly to the high incidence of burns among children, the charity began to focus on educating informal settlement communities on the dangers of and ways to prevent fires.

Through the years the charity has made inroads in establishing lasting relationships with different informal settlements that have allowed the charity to be the link between these at times marginalised communities and government.

Kaya Cares is a Kaya FM Initiative.
