After completing his studies at the University of Cologne and at Rand Afrikaans University (as it then was), Schröder holds a dual admission to both the German bar as well as to the South African side-bar. He renders advice on cross-border transactions, commercial litigation and on corporate matters in SA with a full understanding of the needs of European law structured enterprises. He has more than 25 years' worth of experience in litigating both locally and in German courts, as well as international tribunals, such as the ICC in Zürich.
Schröder has also specialised in insolvency law, foreclosures and the perfection of securities.
He has served on different boards of companies and in July 2012, Schröder became a member of the Senior Counsel of the German Southern African Chamber of Commerce.
